RefWorks and RefShare - Citation Management Software

Connect to Resource

Note: As of May 21, 2015, UBC RefWorks accounts and databases will be stored on servers located in the United States.

Click "Sign Up for a New Account" on the RefWorks login page the first time you use RefWorks.

With RefWorks, users can create their own personal citation databases by importing references from online databases and catalogues. Use these references in writing papers, and automatically format in-text citations/footnotes and bibliographies in seconds.

UBC Library currently has both the "legacy" and "new" versions of RefWorks.

Interested users can start a new RefWorks account at https://refworks.proquest.com with a ubc.ca email address, or to use a non-ubc.ca email address, follow these instructions.

For help, please see the UBC Library RefWorks Guide.
